AGGRESSIVE DRIVING COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGES
(COCHRANE, ON) - A traffic complaint reporting an aggressive driver led to impaired driving charges.
On Friday, October 31, 2025, at approximately 11:30 pm, the James Bay OPP responded to reports of a driver behaving aggressively in a commercial parking lot on Highway 11 South. Officers located the vehicle and determined the driver had consumed alcohol. The individual was arrested and transported to the Cochrane OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Dylan WEGNER, 27 years-of-age from Barrie, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cochrane on December 9, 2025. Additionally, they received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
