ALPR NOTIFICATION LEADS TO NUMEROUS CHARGES
(ESSEX, ON) - A driver is facing charges after an Automated Licence Plate Reader (ALPR) notification in Essex.
On November 24, 2025, at approximately 1:12 pm, a member of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol on Highway 3 in the Town of Essex and was alerted by the ALPR of a traffic infraction.
The investigation into the notification led to many charges.
As a result, Kenneth JONES, 45-years-old of Windsor was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act offences:
- Utter threats
- Obstruct peace officer
- Resist peace officer
- Driving while under suspension
- Driver - fail to properly wear seat belt
- Drive with window coated - view obstructed
The accused was taken into custody to answer to the charges.
