(PETERBOROUGH COUNTY, ON) - Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual after being called to a residence related to intimate partner violence (IPV).

On August 4, 2025, at approximately 5:30pm, Peterborough County OPP Officers were dispatched to a report of an assault that had taken place at a residence in Peterborough County. The caller advised that their spouse had assaulted them after attempting to leave a gathering. The caller locked themselves in a separate room until police arrived.

A 68-year-old male was arrested and charged with;

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on September 9, 2025.
