(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual has been charged following an investigation into a public intoxication incident in Simcoe.

On Friday, November 21, 2025, at approximately 11:46 pm, a Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol in Simcoe when an individual in the area of Norfolk Street South and Peel Street drew their attention.

After speaking with the individual, the officer took them into custody without incident.

As a result, a 44-year-old Norfolk County resident was charged with the following alleged offence:

• Being intoxicated in public place
