ARREST MADE IN WEAPONS INCIDENT
(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) - On November 27, 2025, at approximately 9:46 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a weapons call at a residence in Paisley, Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.
It is alleged that an altercation occurred between two individuals, and a firearm was brandished. The individuals were known to each other, and this was an isolated incident. The victim fled the area and contacted police. Officers attended and contained the property where the accused exited and surrendered to police. There were no reported injuries. A search warrant was executed at the residence on November 28, 2025, where police seized several firearms and ammunition.
Timothy COLLINS, 53-years-old, resident of Arran-Elderslie was charged with:
- Pointing a firearm, CC 87
- Assault with a weapon, CC 267(a)
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, CC 354(1)(a)
The accused was held for a bail hearing on November 28, 2025, and was subsequently released from custody. They are set to reappear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on January 7, 2025, to answer to the charges.
