(BANCROFT, ON) - The individuals responsible for damage to multiple flower boxes in Bancroft have been located.

The incidents were reported recently, including Friday, August 1, 2025, with more than 20 flower boxes or planters being vandalized.

As a result of the investigation, members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a 16-year-old male with mischief. A 15-year-old male, also responsible for the damage, has been diverted from the court system into a community program to learn about the impact that mischief has on victims and the community.

Bancroft OPP wants to thank everyone who provided information and had expressed concern about the damage.
