(MAPLETON TOWNSHIP, ON) - An Arthur driver has been charged following a collision.
On November 24, 2025, at approximately 7:00 pm, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a single-vehicle collision with a road sign at the intersection of Arthur Street South and Wellington Road 17 in Mapleton Township. Upon police arrival, the driver attempted to flee the collision scene.
As a result of the investigation, a 24-year-old from Arthur, is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Careless driving
- Fail to remain
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court in Guelph on March 4, 2026.
There were no reported injuries.
