ASSAULT INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN CHARGES
(ST THOMAS, ON) - The Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual following an assault.
On Monday, December 1, 2025, at approximately 9:05 pm, members of the Elgin OPP were at the hospital with an accused.
As a result of the investigation, 35 year old of London was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Disarming a Peace Officer
- Assault a Peace Officer - two counts
The accused was held in custody and will appear by video before the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas Court on Friday, December 5, 2025.
The name is being withheld due to restrictions imposed by the court.
