ATV COLLISION RESULTS IN IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES


(HOWICK, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a North Huron resident with criminal driving offences following a single-vehicle ATV collision in the Township of Howick on June 29th, 2025. 

Just before 10:00 pm on Sunday, June 29, 2025, Huron County OPP officers responded to a report of an injured male that had fallen off an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) at an address on Harriston Road in Howick Twp. Police located the ATV driver and they were arrested for impaired operation.

As a result of the investigation, the accused has been charged as follows:

Mitchell TOPHAM, 26 years-of-age from North Huron has been charged with:

  • Impaired Operation - Alcohol and Drug, - Impaired Operation - Over 80

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich on August 11th, 2025.
