BANCROFT RESIDENT CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

(BANCROFT, ON) - The Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person following a disturbance.

On Friday, July 25, 2025, shortly before 6:00 am, officers responded to a disturbance in the Town of Bancroft. One person was arrested a short time later.

Geoffrey FITZGIBBON, 45, from Bancroft has been charged with assault.

The accused was held for bail and remanded into custody. The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bellville on July 30, 2025.
