BANCROFT RESIDENT CHARGED WITH SEVERAL VIOLENT OFFENCES

(BANCROFT, ON) - The Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has charged one person following an altercation.

On June 4, 2025, shortly after 9:00 pm, officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in Hastings Highlands. One person was arrested a short time later at a traffic stop.

Mike HOWARTH, a 33-year-old from Bancroft, has been charged with:

• Break and enter
• Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
• Assault with a weapon
• Uttering Threats

The accused was released from custody with and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on August 5, 2025.
