BANCROFT YOUTH CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

(BANCROFT, ON) - The Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person following a disturbance.

On Friday, August 15, 2025, shortly before 2:00 pm, officers responded to a disturbance fat the skateboard park in the Town of Bancroft. One person was arrested a short time later.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft at a later date.

The identity of the accused is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA) and will not be released.
