(DUFFERIN COUNTY) - Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Brantford resident with impaired driving-related offences following a traffic complaint.
On June 10, 2025, shortly after 10:00 pm, Dufferin OPP officers received a traffic complaint in the area of Airport Road in the Township of Mulmur. Officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Upon speaking with the male driver, officers observed signs of impairment and began an impaired driving investigation.
George PANTON, a 45-year-old male, from Brantford has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
- Drive - hand held communication device
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Drive motor vehicle - no licence
The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.
