BREAK AND ENTER IN COBALT LEADS TO ARREST


(COBALT, ON) - One person is facing charges following a break and enter investigation in the Town of Cobalt.

On Sunday, August 20, 2025, at approximately 4:15 pm, the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a residence on Miller Avenue in Cobalt. Upon arrival, police determined that an individual had forced entry into a residence and stolen property. 

As a result of the investigation, Anthony DOUPE, 45-year-old, of Cobalt, has been charged with:

  • Break, enter a place - commit indictable offence
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Fail to comply with probation order - two counts

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
