(WELLINGTON NORTH TWP, ON) -The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a break and enter / theft. Suspect unknown at this time and police are seeking assistance from the public.

On June 25, 2025, at approximately 7:00 am, the Wellington County OPP were dispatched to a report of a break and enter / theft which occurred at a local business on Main Street North with Mount Forest.

It was determined that on June 25, 2025, at approximately 12:30 am, an unidentified suspect cut a hole through a wall of a business, granting access to the interior. The suspect took cash from the register and an entire safe, before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as:

-Believed to be male

-Dressed all in black

-Wearing a dark coloured backpack

The estimated value of the stolen property, and cost of the repairs is unknown at this time.

The investigation is continuing.
