CALVIN VANNESS HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
Missing Since March 2008, $50,000 Reward Offered
(BELLEVILLE, ON) - It has been over 17 years since the disappearance of Calvin VANNESS. Investigators remain confident that someone has the key piece of information that will help determine what happened to him and who was responsible.
On Wednesday, March 26, 2008, 65-year-old Calvin VANNESS was last seen driving his car, a grey four-door 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix with red flames on the side, in the Belleville area. On Tuesday, April 1, 2008, his vehicle was located at a commuter parking lot on Highway 38 in Kingston. Investigators believe an unknown person may have been operating his vehicle during some of this time.
Since April 2010, the OPP and the Belleville Police Service have investigated the disappearance as a homicide, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
Investigators believe someone has information that could help determine what happened to Calvin.
The Government of the Province of Ontario is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Calvin VANNESS.
