(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual has been charged following an investigation into an incident of intimate partner violence.

At approximately 3:25 am on Monday, July 7, 2025, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported dispute at a Norfolk County address.

Through investigation, it was determined that two individuals had an interaction inside a residence, resulting in one person being physically assaulted. Minor injuries were reported.

As a result, a 68-year-old Norfolk County resident was taken into custody and has been charged with the following alleged offence:

• Assault - spousal

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
