(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON) - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment responded to the report of an assault, that resulted in minor injuries and multiple charges.

On August 31, 2025, at approximately 2:15 pm, members of the Oxford OPP were dispatched to an assault in progress in Norwich.

As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old resident of Norwich was charged with:

• Assault with a Weapon
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order (two counts)
• Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The accused has been remanded into custody awaiting a bail hearing through the Ontario Court of Justice.
