(PETERBOROUGH COUNTY, ON) - Officers from the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an individual after being called to a residence related to intimate partner violence (IPV).

On August 2, 2025, at approximately 3:30am, Peterborough County OPP Officers were dispatched to a report of an assault that had taken place at a residence in Peterborough County. The caller advised that their parents had been in an argument which resulted with one person being assaulted and their glasses being broken. Officers arrived on scene and after speaking with involved parties, one person was arrested.

A 47-year-old female was arrested and charged with;

• Mischief under $5,000

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on September 30, 2025.
