(WEST PERTH, ON) - Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual following a break and enter and assault with a weapon in the Municipality of West Perth.

On July 19, 2025, the Perth County OPP launched an investigation after a receiving information that an individual broke into a residence and assaulted the homeowner with a baseball bat. The victim sustained minor injuries.

Jeremy WELSH, 27 years old of Mitchell, has been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following offences:

• Break and Enter
• Failure to Comply with Probation Order - Two counts
• Assault with a Weapon

WELSH is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on June 25, 2025
