CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION
(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual has been charged following an investigation into an intimate partner violence incident.
On Friday, January 2, 2026, at approximately 11:22 pm, members of the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported dispute at a residence in Norfolk County.
The investigation determined that an interaction occurred between two individuals inside the home, during which one individual assaulted and threatened the other. No injuries were reported.
As a result, a 40-year-old Norfolk County resident was arrested and charged with the following alleged offences:
- Assault - spousal, - Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm - spousal, - Fail to comply with Probation Order
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
