(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Two individuals have been charged as a result of separate investigations into incidents of intimate partner violence.

At approximately 8:49 pm on Saturday, June 7, 2025, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an incident at a Norfolk County address.

The investigation revealed that two individuals were involved in an interaction inside a vehicle, during which one person was physically assaulted. Minor injuries were reported.

One individual was taken into custody without incident.

As a result, a 51-year-old from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offence:

• Assault - spousal

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.

At approximately 9:17 pm on Sunday, June 8, 2025, the Norfolk County OPP responded to an incident at a Norfolk County address.

The investigation revealed that two individuals were involved in an interaction inside a residence, during which both parties physically assaulted. No injuries were reported.

Both were taken into custody without incident.

As a result, 60-year-old and a 66-year-old, both residents from Norfolk County, were charged with the following alleged offence:

• Assault - spousal

The accused individuals are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
