(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Two people have been charged following investigations into separate incidents of intimate partner violence.
On Friday, September 19, 2025, at approximately 10:22 am, officers from the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault at a residence in Norfolk County.
The investigation revealed that an interaction occurred between two individuals inside the home, during which one person physically assaulted the other. No injuries were reported.
As a result, A 48-year-old Norfolk County resident was arrested and charged with the following alleged offence:
- Assault with a weapon - spousal
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
On Saturday, September 20, 2025, at approximately 1:55 am, Norfolk County OPP officers responded to a report of an assault at a separate residence in Norfolk County.
The investigation determined that an interaction occurred between two individuals inside the home, during which one person physically assaulted the other. Minor injuries were reported.
As a result, a 27-year-old with no fixed address was arrested and charged with the following alleged offence:
- Assault with a weapon - spousal
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
