(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual is facing multiple charges in connection with an incident that occurred on Turkey Point Beach.

At approximately 4:35 pm on Sunday, July 6, 2025, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspected intoxicated individual near Turkey Point Beach in Turkey Point.

After engaging with the individual on Cedar Drive, officers took the person into custody.

As a result, 51-year-old Markus RIGBY of Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offences:

• Being intoxicated in public place, - Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm, - Resist Peace Officer, - Escape lawful custody

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice Simcoe on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
