(MONTAGUE TWP, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following a break and enter investigation at a local storage facility.

Lanark County OPP officers investigated an incident in Montague Township on September 28, 2025, just before 12:30 pm This resulted the arrest of a 29-year-old man.

The individual from North Grenville has been charged with:

• Unauthorized possession of a firearm
• Break and enter
• Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm

The accused was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on September 29, 2025.

The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
