CHARGES LAID IN BREAK AND ENTER INCIDENT


(MONTAGUE TWP, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following a break and enter investigation.

Lanark County OPP officers responded to an incident in Montague Township on Friday, August 1, 2025, just before 3:00 am after a complaint was received about an individual with a flashlight at the rear of a property. The male fled prior to police arriving however the individual was located and arrested nearby with the assistance of the OPP Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team members.

As a result of the investigation Justin LEROY, 48-years-old from Ottawa, has been charged with:

  • Break and enter
  • Theft under $5000
  • Trespassing at night

The accused was held for a bail hearing and was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
