(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual has been charged in relation to an assault investigation in Delhi.

On Thursday, September 18, 2025, at approximately 3:41 am, Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a reported assault on Imperial Street in Delhi.

The investigation determined that several individuals were inside a residence when one person physically assaulted another, verbally threatened that individual and a second person, and caused damage to property within the home.

As a result, 32-year-old William MINSHALL of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offences:

• Assault cause bodily harm - choke, suffocate, or strangle, - Mischief over $5,000, - Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm - two counts

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Thursday, September 18, 2025.
