(PERTH, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.

Lanark County OPP officers began an investigation on Sunday, September 28, 2025.

As a result of investigation, a 33-year-old male from Almonte has been charged with:

• Forcible entry
• Forcible confinement
• Mischief

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth at a later date.

The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
