(LANARK HIGHLANDS TWP, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.

Lanark County OPP officers investigated a traffic complaint in Lanark on Monday, July 7, 2025, just after 1:00 pm Officers attended and spoke with all parties involved. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a 39-year-old man.

The male has been charged with:

• Criminal harassment
• Uttering threats
• Dangerous operation

The accused was released custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, August 11, 2025.

The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
