(CARLETON PLACE, ON) - The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following an intimate partner violence investigation.

Lanark County OPP officers responded to a disturbance on Sunday, August 3, 2025, just before 9:30 am Officers attended and spoke with all parties involved. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a 32-year-old woman.

The female has been charged with:

• Assault causing bodily harm
• Assault with a weapon
• Assault - four counts

The accused was released custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, August 25, 2025.

The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
