(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual has been charged following an impaired-related collision investigation near Simcoe.
On Friday, November 14, 2025, at approximately 9:16 pm, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single-vehicle collision involving a pickup truck on Concession 13 Townsend, just outside Simcoe.
The investigation determined that the vehicle was travelling along Concession 13 Townsend when it left the roadway, entered a ditch, and struck a tree. No injuries were reported.
Officers located the driver at the scene and, following an interaction, took them into custody without incident.
As a result, 19-year-old Hunter SCHIMPKY of Norfolk County was charged with the following alleged offences:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs, - Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), - Dangerous operation
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
