(LAMBTON SHORES, ON) - An individual faces several charges following a collision in Lambton Shores.
On August 6, 2025, just before 5:00 pm, members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Dolway Drive, near Outer Drive, in the Municipality of Lambton Shores.
Investigation determined that the vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and the driver fled the scene. Police located the individual shortly after the collision and they were safely taken into custody.
There were no injuries reported.
As a result of the investigation, James HODGSON, 18-year-old of London, was charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act, and the Liquor Licence and Control Act with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Flight from peace officer
- Fail to remain
- Young driver - B.A.C above zero
- Person under 19 years consuming liquor
- Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available
- Person under 19 years having liquor
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Sarnia on September 15, 2025.
