(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TWP, ON) - On June 7, 2025, at approximately 6:00 pm, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Harris Street and Sammon Drive, in Rockwood.

It was reported that a pickup truck had collided with a parked vehicle and then left the scene. Police located the driver and damaged pickup truck nearby. No injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, Robert Andrew HAMILTON, 67-years-old of the Township of Guelph-Eramosa, was charged with:

• Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs contrary to the Criminal Code
• Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus
• Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice - Guelph, on June 17, 2025.
