(LONDON, ON) - Driver facing multiple charges, including impaired by drug, after single-vehicle collision on Highway 402 westbound.

On July 31, 2025, at 7:28 am, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to a vehicle in the centre median on Highway 402 Westbound at Wonderland Road in the City of London.

The driver of the vehicle was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex Detachment.

As a result, Peter HILLIARD, a 32-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:

• Operation while impaired - drugs
• Careless driving
• Drive motor vehicle - no licence
• Use altered plate
• Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on September 9, 2025.
