COLLISION LEAVES MOTORCYCLE RIDER WITH LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES


(PERTH, ON) - A motorcycle rider has suffered serious, life-threatening injuries in a collision in Perth.

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, shortly before 3:00 pm, members of the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and other emergency services responded to the scene at the intersection of Highway 7 and Drummond Street East. A car and motorcycle had collided in the intersection.

When officers arrived, an off-duty paramedic and bystanders were providing first aid to the motorcycle rider. Lanark County Paramedics transported the 53-year-old male from Beckwith Township to a local hospital and later to a regional trauma centre.

Lanark County OPP is continuing the investigation, with assistance from an OPP Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigators.
