(SOUTH FRONTENAC TWP., ON) - A collision on Highway 401 in Kingston has sent two people to hospital with minor injuries.
On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, just after 1:30 pm, officers with the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded the scene on the eastbound lanes, east of the Highway 15 interchange.
A sport utility vehicle had collided with a stationary construction ‘crash truck’, which was unoccupied at the time. No construction workers were injured but both occupants of the SUV were transported to hospital by paramedics.
A 66-year-old man from Ottawa has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving.
