COLLISION ON HIGHWAY 28 SOUTH
(BANCROFT, ON) - The Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a collision on Highway 28 South in Highlands East Township.
On Thursday, January 16, 2026, shortly after 4:00 pm, a collision occurred between two passenger vehicles, south of Highway 118. One person was transported to hospital for assessment, and the injuries were later determined to be non-life-threatening.
Highway 28 South was closed in the early evening and reopened later that night.
