(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) - Driver facing impaired charge after collision on private property in Southwest Middlesex.
On September 20, 2025, at 4:45 pm, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Police, Oneida Nation Police and Middlesex-London Paramedic Service were dispatched to a collision at a business on Longwoods Road in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex.
Investigation revealed an individual was operating a golf cart on private property, lost control and rolled.
The driver was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result, Cruise CORNELIUS, a 20-year-old of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on October 16, 2025.
