About Ontario’s 3-Day Licence Suspension
Drivers who register an “Alert” on a roadside screening device face immediate consequences under Ontario’s Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program. A first-time offence results in a three-day suspension, reinforcing the province’s zero-tolerance approach to impaired driving-even below the criminal threshold.
