COLLISION RESULTS IN CARELESS DRIVING CHARGE

Two Vehicle Crash At Intersection of Highway 17 And Paquette Road

(PETAWAWA., ON) - A driver from Russell Township has been charged following a two-vehicle collision in Petawawa.

On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, just after 8:00 am, officers with the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 17 and Paquette Road.

The crash happened in the intersection and involved a gravel truck and another truck, with one vehicle failing to stop for a red light. There were no injuries reported.

A 31-year-old male was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving.
