(BROCKTON, ON) - On August 19, 2025, at approximately 7:43 pm, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint for a possible impaired driver in Walkerton, Municipality of Brockton.

Police made patrols and located the vehicle on Yonge Street South, where a traffic stop was conducted. The investigating officer spoke with the driver and detected signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest and transported for further testing.

Emmett UDERSTADT, 18-years-old, of West Grey, was charged with:

• Operation while impaired - B.A.C. 80 plus, CC 320.14(1)(b)
• Dangerous operation, CC 320.13(1)
• Novice driver - B.A.C. above zero, HTA 44.1(3)
• Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor, LLCA 42(1)(a)

The accused is set to appear on September 24, 2025, at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charges.
