(CRAMAHE TOWNSHIP, ON) - On Wednesday June 18, 2025, members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were informed of an assault that occurred on June 16, 2025, at a residence in the village of Colborne.

While speaking with the victim, the investigating officer observed obvious injuries. As a result of the investigation a 23-year-old female from Colborne Ontario, was arrested and charged with:

• Assault Cause Bodily Harm - choke, suffocate or strangle

The accused was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on a date in July 2025.

The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
