DAMAGED VEHICLE ON HIGHWAY 17 RESULTS IN IMPAIRED CHARGES


(BEAUCAGE, ON) - A damaged vehicle found on the shoulder of Highway 17 led to impaired driving charges for a North Bay resident.

On Saturday, November 1, 2025, at approximately 5:30 am, North Bay OPP responded to multiple calls about a vehicle with front-end damage parked on the Highway 17 shoulder west of North Bay. Officers located the driver and determined they had consumed alcohol. The individual was arrested and transported to the North Bay OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Emma JENNINGS, 23 years-of-age from North Bay, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on December 16, 2025, in North Bay. Additionally, they received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
