(WEST ELGIN, ON) - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a death at a Mary Street, West Elgin address.

On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at approximately 4:42 pm, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Elgin County Detachment along with Fire and Paramedic Services attended a residence after receiving a report of a death at the home.

The investigation by the Elgin County OPP Crime Unit remains ongoing, in partnership with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Services.

The investigation is continuing, and further updates will be provided when they become available.
