(MADAWASKA TWP., ON) - A dirt bike crash northwest of Calabogie has left the rider with serious injuries.
On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at approximately 8:45 am, the Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the scene on the K&P Trail near Ashdad Road.
Renfrew County Paramedics had already responded and had transported a 15-year-old male from the location. The male was transferred to an air ambulance from Ornge and was taken to a regional trauma centre. Injuries were described as very serious, but non-life-threatening.
The individual had been riding alone on his way to school and no other vehicles were involved. The victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
He was located by his parents.
The investigation by Renfrew OPP is continuing, with assistance from an OPP Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigator from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.
