(HALDIMAND COUNTY) - On June 14, 2025, at approximately 12:25 am, members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance on Broad Street, Dunnville.

The investigation determined that two individuals became involved in a verbal argument that escalated.

One person brandished an edged weapon during the altercation, and they were subsequently taken into custody.

No injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, 19-year-old Destynie TEMPENY of Dunnville has been charged with the following offences:

• Assault with a Weapon
• Uttering Threats -Cause Death or Bodily Harm
• Failure to Comply with Release Order - Other than to Attend Court
• Being Intoxicated in a Public Place

The accused is schedule to appear before the Ontario court of Justice in Cayuga on July 29, 2025.
