DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER TWO-VEHICLE COLLISION
(ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP, ON) - An individual is facing numerous charges following a two-vehicle collision in St. Clair Township.
On December 21, 2025, at approximately 1:40 am, members of Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision at the intersection of Brigden Road and Plank Road in St. Clair Township.
Both drivers were transported to a hospital by Lambton County Emergency Medical Services with non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, Courtney SHAWNOO, 43-year-old of Plympton-Wyoming was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with the following offences:
- Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs
- Dangerous Operation causing bodily harm
- Driving while under suspension (four counts)
A 45-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was held pending a bail hearing, subsequently released, and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on January 28, 2026, in Sarnia.
