DRIVER ARRESTED FOR IMPAIRED OPERATION AFTER TRAFFIC COMPLAINT IN ESPANOLA


(ESPANOLA, ON)  - One person has been charged with impaired operation as a result of a traffic complaint.

On Monday, July 7, 2025, at approximately 8:30 pm, the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint reporting that a possible impaired driver was leaving from a business parking lot off Centre Street in Espanola. Police later located the vehicle in Webbwood and conducted a traffic stop. As a result of further investigation, the driver was arrested for impaired operation.

The driver, Rilley HARRIS, 29-years-old from Webbwood, was charged with operation while impaired.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on August 5, 2025.
