(HALDIMAND COUNTY) - An individual is facing charges after attempting to ram a cruiser in Cayuga.

On June 18, 2025, at approximately 1:55 am the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) took a driver into custody after they intentionally drove towards a police vehicle.

The officer was forced to take evasive action to avoid a collision. No injuries were reported.

Morley CALLAN, 65-years-old from Caledonia has been charged with the following offences:

• Dangerous Operation
• Failure to Comply with Release Order - Other than to Attend Court

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on today’s date.
