(HALDIMAND COUNTY) - An individual is facing charges after fleeing from police.

On September 26, 2025, at approximately 9:30 pm, members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a traffic complaint on Haldimand County Highway 54, near Caledonia.

Police located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The driver, and lone occupant fled the scene at a high rate of speed but was located soon after and placed under arrest.

Jacob BURMAN-LINDSTEAD, 18-years-old of Six Nations of the Grand River has been charged with the following offences:

  • Dangerous Operation
  • Flight from Peace Officer
  • Driving While Under Suspension

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on October 28, 2025.
